Kemampuan mengelola komunikasi publik menjadi faktor penting bagi perusahaan dalam menjaga reputasi dan kepercayaan masyarakat di tengah derasnya arus informasi digital.
Salah satu instrumen yang dinilai krusial untuk mendukung upaya tersebut adalah media monitoring.
Direktur Jenderal Informasi dan Komunikasi Publik Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika periode 2021-2024, Usman Kansong, menegaskan bahwa branding, reputasi, dan kepercayaan publik merupakan tiga elemen yang saling terkait dan menjadi fondasi penting bagi keberlangsungan bisnis.
“Branding akan membentuk reputasi, dan reputasi pada akhirnya menentukan tingkat kepercayaan publik. Kepercayaan hanya dapat dibangun ketika apa yang disampaikan perusahaan selaras dengan apa yang dilakukan,” papar Usman saat menghadiri ajang Indonesia Corporate Media Impact Awards 2026, di Jakarta, dikutip Senin, 8 Juni 2026.
Menurutnya, reputasi perusahaan tidak dibangun dalam waktu singkat. Diperlukan konsistensi antara pesan yang disampaikan kepada publik dengan implementasi nyata di lapangan agar kepercayaan dapat tumbuh dan terjaga dalam jangka panjang.
Namun demikian, reputasi yang telah dibangun selama bertahun-tahun dapat dengan mudah tergerus apabila perusahaan gagal membaca dinamika opini publik maupun mengelola komunikasi secara tepat ketika menghadapi isu sensitif.
“Karena itu, media monitoring menjadi sangat penting. Perusahaan harus mampu membaca berbagai sinyal yang muncul di ruang publik agar dapat mengantisipasi potensi krisis komunikasi sejak dini,” ujarnya.
Indonesia Corporate Media Impact Awards 2026 yang digelar Warta Ekonomi, memberikan apresiasi kepada 20 perusahaan terbaik yang dinilai berhasil membangun eksposur media secara efektif sekaligus menunjukkan kinerja korporasi positif di tengah dinamika yang semakin kompleks dan kompetitif.
